A Boston beauty is this close to strutting the runway in stilettos - and little else - in next month’s The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show .

Model Katelyn Loren Fortes, who grew up on Edson Street in Dorchester and describes her look as “Naomi Campbell with bangs,” is a Top 10 finalist in Victoria’s Secret’s nationwide runway model search. The 5’10” teen drove nonstop to Chicago for the audition two weeks ago, and has been vying against the other finalists in Manhattan while CBS films live webisodes titled “Angel Boot Camp.” The winner will walk alongside high-fashion stars Alessandra Ambrosio and Doutzen Kroes in the Dec. 1 show at 10 p.m.

That aside this is just another way for Victoria Secret to further the cause of anorexia. Young girls convinced that the skinnier the better. Nothing really that sexy about bones.

I agree 100%, skinny is gross. When I was a younger man and dating the skinny girls always made me go yuck. It was like grabbing a skeleton. Girls put some meat on those bones and give me something to grab, that's what real men like.

How about encourage them to get an education as well and not to depend on their T&A for success? Teach them not to depend on a sugar-daddy to get ahead. Kudos to them for using their looks as a stepping stone, but you should always have a plan B.
