Shalrie Joseph on MLS Best XI

Revolution midfielder Shalrie Joseph earned his third consecutive MLS Best XI nod, representing the top players at each position for the season. It’s Joseph’s fourth selection of his seven-year career.

Joseph is also a finalist for league MVP, which will be announced Thursday. Also up for MVP is Galaxy midfielder/forward Landon Donovan and FC Dallas forward Jeff Cunningham, who were also Best XI picks along with keeper Zach Thornton (Chivas USA), defenders Geoff Cameron (Houston), Wilman Conde (Chicago) and Chad Marshall (Columbus), midfielders Dwayne De Rosario (Toronto), Stuart Holden (Houston) and Freddie Ljungberg (Seattle) and forward Conor Casey (Colorado).
