LAS VEGAS - Back in the 1980s, when giants roamed the landscape of boxing, you could be sure what was going to happen after something as monumental as Manny Pacquiao’s dominating victory over Miguel Cotto Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. A Big Fight would soon be made.

That is because fighters like Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Tommy Hearns and Roberto Duran wanted most of all to be tested by the crucible of boxing at its best. They wanted all the things fighters want today - riches, fame, glory, sycophants - but more than anything they wanted to know how good they really were and they wanted the world to know, without a doubt, as well. And so they fought each other.

Pacquiao dismantled Cotto once he realized that Cotto couldnt hurt him, he walked thru jabs and ducked Cotto's left hook which left Cotto exposed to huge counter shots. Pacquiao had the fight won by round 6 and Cotto hung on as long as he could and the Ref did him a favor by stopping the fight with 2 minutes left in the last round...Im not sure he can beat Mayweather but he can compete with his hand speed, hes just a little bit smaller but at this time Manny P is the best fighter lb for lb on earth.

let's (not "lets") do that: 50-50 is fair, but because Floyd is such an egomanian, he'll want more than 50%.
