The Bruins transformed a 1-1 regulation tie into a moral victory after a 2-1 shootout defeat last night to the Montreal Canadiens before 17,565 at TD Garden.

Bruins center Patrice Bergeron forced the overtime when he scored at 19:08 of the third period. The goal ended the B’s scoreless streak at 192 minutes and 6 seconds.

hmmmmmmmm lets see here - ahhhh I did mention that their season wold be a long winding and painfull one last October. They will miss those who left PJA and others who brought their A game night in and out. They were good on the Ice and as team-mates in the locker-room. Injuries -illness and not sneaking up on anyone this year. Better hope Toronto finishes with the worst record or B's may have a long off season next year as well. Where are the goals gonna come from?

The Bruins are in a tough spot but they ARE getting chances,no game has been a blowout.I can't see abandoning them for 1 tough part of a season.Sabotka and Wheeler are playing like teenagers from Mars.I beleive in them! stop being spoiled and whiny. The pieces will fall into place.

I mentioned a few days ago how disappointed I was in seeing this team play not to lose vs. playing to win: playing to the other team and not initiating play.

I think you're seeing the value that Lucic brings to this team. He was one of the few that initiated play and takes the game to the other team (instead of sitting back and reacting). It was that ability to feed the team energy that had him being looked at by Team Canada, when there were obviously more offensively gifted individuals for them to call on.

Someone needs to step up and provide the spark that moves the team from being reactionary to initiators of play. So far no ones has.

Finally, Wideman just needs to shut up about being "strong on the puck". Boychuk deserves to be in ahead of him.

A moral victory?? Only a bruins fan would look at 1 goal in 3 plus games as a victory, and if it wasn't for that stupid intentional offside they may have been shut out again
Bruins 2008-2009 equals ABBERATION!! This team stinks, they're relying on goaltending once again, and watch they'll send Thomas packing soon. Looks like Claude the fraud is at it again...
