But Canadiens win in shootout

The Bruins [team stats] transformed a 1-1 regulation tie into a moral victory after a 2-1 shootout defeat last night to the Montreal Canadiens before 17,565 at TD Garden.

Bruins center Patrice Bergeron forced the overtime when he scored at 19:08 of the third period. The goal ended the B’s scoreless streak at 192 minutes and 6 seconds.
