Burke girls reach goal, take city crown

Burke needed only one goal to pull out a win against Madison Park in the Boston City League girls soccer championship yesterday at White Stadium after regulation time ended with the teams scoreless.
At eight minutes to play in overtime, sophomore forward Helia Corriera launched a missile from atop the penalty box into the upper net. After 72 minutes of a hard-fought battle, a harried Madison Park squad simply had nothing left to retaliate.
