Truly, Tom Brady is terrific

It was a sight Patriots [team stats] fans have been longing to see since last season’s fateful opener. Tom Brady [stats] dropped back and lobbed spiral after perfect spiral 30 yards downfield.

Only this field was actually the basketball court at the West End House Boys & Girls Club in Allston, where Brady made a charity appearance yesterday. The Patriots quarterback, still recovering from knee surgery, stood under one basket and tried to throw the football into the hoop at the other end. He came close a few times, but after each miss, Brady dropped to the floor with the gathering of kids, did a few push-ups and then spryly sprang to his feet.
