Last night’s crosstown matchup between Northeastern and Harvard at Lavietes Pavilion was the 49th meeting in a series that dates to 1921. If the Huskies’ 76-71 double-overtime victory was any indication, the Golden Jubilee game should be a barnburner.

Northeastern (5-4), which has won seven of the past 11 games in the series, got a game-high 21 points from junior Matt Janning, whose drive to the basket put his club ahead to stay, 72-69, with a minute to go in the second extra session.
