PHILADELPHIA - Johnny Damon may not be as fast as he once was, but last night he demonstrated that his instincts are as sharp as always.

With Damon on first in the ninth inning and the Philadelphia Phillies shifted around on Mark Teixeira, Damon stole second, then quickly realized third base wasn’t manned and took off for there, too, arriving safely. Damon soon scored the go-ahead run on Alex Rodriguez’ two-run double in the Yankees’ 7-4 win in Game 4 of the World Series.
