Boston Red Sox owner John Henry was willing to pony up cash to save the police’s mounted unit, but no one at City Hall seems to kn ow about the offer.
“If the Sox offered money, we don’t know anything about it,” said Dorothy Joyce, spokeswoman for Mayor Thomas M. Menino.

John Henry, please do something truly altuistic with your millions. Do not add to the dismal state of this city. The mounted police are an expensive gimmick that should have been long gone. And gone along with Menino!
Is Dot Joyce the new Peggy Davis-Mullen? You know, a woman who thinks she's more competent than she actually is. Makes ya sick!
is dot joyce going to debate yoon, flaherty and mccrae?
Who's actually doing the job of being Mayor Dot Joyce or mumbles? Who's ever doing the job should be reminded at some point they'll have to answer to the voters of the City of Boston, and that day is coming soon. By the way, will Dot Joyce be debating Flaherty and Loon sorry I mean Yoon?
I dont have a position[ pro or con] on the mounted unit but I think that Mr.HENRYS $400 THOUSAND DOLLARS would be better served at Dana Farber or a similar charity.
John Henry, give the money to city athletics. The horses are only useful in the occasional student sports riot, so let the universities pay for them.
Where is Menino??Who cares what Dot Joyce has to say.She is just a hack. What about baby mumbles ?How come he wasn't mentioned in the boom boom room scandal
Whoa don`t look a gift horse in the mouth ,Mr.Henry does more than his share for dana .I know how important it is ,but these guys spread it all around,p. r. you know.
I heard Henry offered the city Lugo to clean up after the horses, but I guess they wanted cash.
