The Kid came back to life last night at Fenway Park [map] the way kids always do when they haven’t been kids for a long time. He came back in fading memories and grainy, black-and-white images.

It will be seven years this Sunday since Ted Williams passed away, but if you ever saw him swing a bat, he’s still alive because that was something you never could forget. It was like the first time you saw a lion. You didn’t know quite what to make of it, but you knew it was to be respected.
