A.J. Burnett does his share for Yankees

NEW YORK - A.J. Burnett was a non-contributing member of the Florida Marlins team that beat the Yankees in the 2003 World Series. He was certainly a contributing factor last night.

Burnett, now pitching for the Yankees, was in phenomenal form in a 3-1 conquest of the Phillies. In delivering a critical Game 2 victory, the right-hander went seven dominating innings in which he allowed just one run on four hits, striking out nine and walking two.
