Stimulus funds to help clean major toxic sites

BOSTON — New England’s largest pollution clean-up project — the scrubbing of New Bedford Harbor — is getting a boost from the federal stimulus package.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson will travel to New Bedford on Wednesday to announce about $600 million in stimulus dollars for so-called Superfund sites across the country.
