Weeks before its predicted peak, the swine flu pandemic already has hit a historic high in the Bay State, with one hospital unit reporting a third of its nurses felled by the raging virus and a local health official warning that the Thanksgiving holiday could only accelerate the outbreak.

Turkey day could be “a recipe for viral transmission,” said Frank Singleton, Lowell’s public health chief. “We may have a really bad week.”

This "outbreak" of swine flu is a total and utter lie. Anyone who appears with respiratory symptoms is considered with flu, not actually swabbed for H1N1 and placed on droplet precautions, assumed to have swine flu. It's a total and utter farce and because the media has pushed the "lethal" nature of swine flu, which has been overstated to say the LEAST, everyone goes to the ED with the first signs of any respiratory infection. Absolute utter farce manufactured to push more immunization costs onto both insurers and the public to make up for flagging healthcare reimbursements. Crap piled upon crap.

Reports of H1N1 have been under reported due to the shortage of the vaccine. There are far more cases than reported because most people who shown with symptoms have not been tested for months. It is only reported when there have been sizable outbreaks.

Do you really and truly believe that your government holds your best interest first? If you do believe that, then you are better off believing in Religion...

Total crap, Remember. Underreported my *** , they've labeled ANYONE with respiratory symptoms as having H1N1. Treatment? Same as any other respiratory infection, fluids, rest, electrolytes and tamiflu. Stop buying the lie they are selling you, I work with it daily and have seen the overreaction first hand.

You work with it daily and it is over reported? Actually in Massachusetts from last spring on individuals with symptoms were not tested. It was only when large outbreaks occurred.
