T completes upgrade of Blue Line trains

The MBTA has completed $172 million in upgrades on the Blue Line to run all six-car trains at all hours of operation, the T said.

The fleet of 94 new Blue Line cars replaces a fleet of four-car trains that were 30-years-old, said T spokesman Joe Pesaturo. The transition began early last year.
