Slain mother’s daughter to suspect: You hurt my heart

The grief-stricken 12-year-old daughter of a slain New Bedford woman has a bitter message for the man charged with stabbing her mom and his own mother to death:

“You didn’t have to do anything with a weapon to hurt me. You hurt my heart.”

Please tell me I didn't just read 'cab driver and convicted serial batterer' - how could any company hire a convicted serial batterer as a CAB DRIVER! Certainly makes one want to take a cab. I hope it was meant to read FORMER cab driver! My thoughts and prayers go out to this young girl - may she begin a new life and put this horrible affair behind her. They were both sick people to stay in such a relationship.
