Pelosi endorses Capuano, cites ‘courageous’ vote
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi this morning praised her colleague U.S. Rep. Michael E. Capuano (D-Somerville) for voting for health care legislation despite an anti-abortion amendment in the bill.
Pelosi thanked Capuano for a “courageous” vote in favor of the bill while endorsing his bid to succeed the late Edward M. Kennedy in the U.S. Senate during a campaign appearance at the Omni Parker House Hotel.
