Don’t throw book at her

Slate magazine is just one of the countless media outlets convulsing with St. Vitus’ Dance over that succubus Sarah Palin. In its reader forum, The Fray, one supposed Palinophobe took dead aim at the former Alaska governor’s writing chops, excerpting the following sentence from her book:

“The apartment was small, with slanting floors and irregular heat and a buzzer downstairs that didn’t work, so that visitors had to call ahead from a pay phone at the corner gas station, where a black Doberman the size of a wolf paced through the night in vigilant patrol, its jaws clamped around an empty beer bottle.”

The best part about Ms Palin's book is the heartburn it causes the Left.

Oh Goldberg, you really have it all wrong. For starters, quoting message board posts is, um, a little amateur. Surely this is about 50% of how Fox News (-like substance) does its reporting, but one would think that even a rag like The Herald would be above such silliness. Secondly, there is no bile spilled by the Left over Sarah Palin. As a guy so far to the left that I might be driving in London, I can tell you that Palin is a sort of hero. She is a train wreck that already happened and then continues to happen just so more bystanders can get out of work and make their way to the scene just to see it. Just when you thought everyone was there, the train wrecks again just to please the crowd. We simply love her and truly hope she is the GOP nominee. If she is, Obama need not campaign--althought those "debates" would be great fun.

yep Eistein Pats.. You post in these forums.. But when it's aforum or dicussion about how the party in Charge now is doing..

We hear nothing about your opinion. I bet you are part of the thumbs down defenders..

But seeing you like to mock a private citizen.. Gee I wonder why we spent 800 billion dollars and unemployment numbers are still rising..

I wonder why the Democrats are having Saturday Nights Votes to pass Bills 2000 pages with no transperentcy..

I wonder how this goverment spent more than 176.6 billion over budget for the month of Oct.

And yet you want to mock Palin a Private Citizen.. BTW she is going to have her own show on Fox network..

But again Baarcak hasn't done anything in a full year.. He and the Democrats are in charge Now if you haven't heard!

"The bile she extracts from her critics is like a dye marker, illuminating deep pockets of asininity that heretofore were unnoticed." Brilliant! The pockets of asininity are readily visible here on the Herald board.

Hi, I'm Sarah. This is a book about how I put myself out there in the public, and how I am a victim of everyone but Foxnews, who I will talk to because they are nice to me. Katie Couric, The "main Stream elite media", David Letterman, Newsweek, bloggers, "the main stream elite media", John Stewart, Elmo, "the main stream elite media", Hollywood, McCain's campaign people, Chuck Norris, all are part of an evil plot by the left that is out to be mean to me, and it's not fair! Did I mention the main stream elite media?

epsteinpats: So we meet again on the blog of battle!

No bile on the part of the left? Give me a break. The left has been spewing nothing but bile at Sarah Palin - all on the basis of personal and familiy issues. Much, if not all, of it has to do with the fact that she is the opposite of what the left has determinined an "authentic" woman to be. Not that they can be sexist! Oh no! And blacks can't be racist either. Diversity everywhere - except for thought. We can't have that. No thought-crimes here! (Thank you George Orwell.)

To summarize the left's views ...
"Omigod! It's the huntress Palin!"
The femin-nazis all were a wailin'
"How could she not
abort that Downe's baby snot?
So her effigy we'll soon be a hangin!"

Where is the left on the idiocies on the part of its heroes?

Al Gore - The temperature at the center of the earth is millions of degrees. (Actually its about 9K degrees C. Hot yes, but not millions of degrees.)

Al Gore son - caught drunk driving a hybrid at over 100MPH. (Gee I didn't think a Prius could go that fast! My bad.)

Barack Obama - "Israel is a friend of Israel. It was a friend of Israel during the Bush administration and will remain a friend of Israel in the Obama administration." (Well duh!)

Barack Obama - "We taken our campaign to 57 states ..." (Can this "intellectual" count?)

John Kerry: "I was for the bill before I was against it!" (This guy is so intellectual and nuanced that he can take contradictory positions in the same sentence!)

Joe Biden - ('nuff said.)

TK aka the Bloviating Buffoon of Boston - "Although I am personally opposed to abortion, I don't feel I have the right to impose my views on others". (Well, what if he had said "Although I am personally opposed to *slavery*, I don't feel I have the right to impose my views on others"? Or how about "Although I am personally opposed to *theft*, I don't feel I have the right to impose my views on others"? Or how about: "Although I am personally opposed to *rape*, I don't feel I have the right to impose my views on others"? Well - you get the idea.)

There are plenty of yuks to go around...
