Congress should adopt nuclear licensing reforms and eliminate unnecessary hearings that will delay the deployment of new nuclear plants, one of our best tools against global warming.
Congress is nearing final action on a comprehensive bill that will address energy policy and global warming in a major way. It focuses on methods to control carbon dioxide emitted by fossil plants and would provide incentives for building new clean sources of power.

Was Liveshot, aka Frankenstein, aka Lurch, aka The Gigolo, against nuclear power before he was for nuclear power? All of these elitist libs are crying for green energy, yet we had green energy 30 years ago. Typical idiotic short-sighted libs, fight against nuclear power because "it's evil", and then they're for it when they find another so called evil farce - ozone layer depletion.
I'm going to assume that sen heinz-kerry just figured out he'll be able to see the wind turbines from his wife's house.
My question is, how many eyesore wind turbines will it take to equal the amount of power generated by one nuclear plant?

Nukes are the answer. Not windmills. These political socialists deliberately want to take America back to the 1700's be removing the energy sources.<p> The idiots who keep electing them should be taken for a long bus ride on election day.
This is very confusing. For over 30 years the enviroweenies have portrayed nuclear power as the boogyman. Re:"The China Syndrome". Personally,I'm going to wait for opinions of the rocket scientists in Hollywood to weigh in on the subject. Whatever Sean Penn,Ben Affleck and Susan Sarandon opine wil make up my mind.
