So what’s next in Boston mayoral politics? Tom Menino had hardly won his record fifth term when already the rumors about 2013 were dropping like leaves.

Maybe a rematch against Michael Flaherty, who hinted broadly as he conceded the election Tuesday that that’s what he’d like?
