I love the idea of food in the Boston Common (“Two eateries seek Common ground,” Nov. 14). While the Shake Shack sounds great I would love to see a local establishment that knows local products. Since the Common is for us in the city, why not have a company that is taxed here in Massachusetts? I know there was a mention of profit sharing, but there will also be some taxes so why not keep every penny here? I would love to see a Summer Shack with local fish, locally made Pearl hot dogs, local produce and local owners who understand our Bostonian needs better than someone living hundreds of miles away.
