David Letterman’s jokes jab absentee John McCain

Late night yakmeister David Letterman unleashed a brutal barrage of humor last night against Sen. John McCain after a last-minute cancellation caught the comic off guard.

It was either a show of sour grapes or a comic dance to fill dead air with gags. Either way, Letterman’s attack is political fodder today.
