WICHITA, Kan. — A Kansas nurse convicted of defrauding and abusing the mentally ill residents of a group home she ran with her husband will return to court for resentencing.
U.S. District Judge Monti Belot set Monday as the new sentencing date in the servitude case of Linda Kaufman. She was convicted in November 2006 of forcing residents to work naked and perform sex acts, while billing the government and their families for it. Linda Kaufman and her husband, Arlan, videotaped the "nude therapy" sessions.
