GENEVA — Islamic nations are mounting a campaign for an international treaty to protect religious symbols and beliefs from mockery — essentially, a ban on blasphemy.
Documents obtained by The Associated Press show that Algeria and Pakistan have taken the lead in lobbying to bring the matter to a vote in the U.N. General Assembly.

This special interest group will eventually get its way. Muslims are a Protected Class like no other. Women live as second class citizens, Gays are slaughtered, most of the world's terrorists pray facing to the east 5 times a day and NO ONE is allowed to speak up about Mohammed's jihadists. The progressive, tolerant leftie political correct crowd will continue to see to it, that no one speak ill of Mohammed.
Very good point. Does this repect of religion apply only to non Muslims respecting Islam? Or is Islam ready to extend respect to Christianity, Buddism, Judism, Hundus...etc. It is interesting to note that Jews, Muslims and Christians cohabit Jerusalem, all have their own worship practices - and none of the three religions make any alloances for the practices of the other two.
