LONDON - A British man who said he was having a nightmare about fighting off an intruder when he strangled his wife to death has been found innocent - thanks to prosecutors who are convinced he won’t do it again.
Prosecutors had originally asked a jury to find Brian Thomas not guilty by reason of insanity, which would have sent him to a psychiatric hospital. But they withdrew the case against him yesterday, blaming his rare sleep disorder for the killing.
