Google sees rapid growth in Cambridge

Google Inc., the king of Internet search, is getting some useful results from its employees in the Hub and expects to expand soon.
“We like the vibe and the feeling of Cambridge,” Google CEO Eric Schmidt told a group of reporters as part of an informal discussion at the company’s Kendall Square offices yesterday.

And on the same day, this guy tells the rest of the country that the Bay Area is the best place to hire (see Wall Street Journal story of 11/5/09 titled "Google's Schmidt on What Sets Silicon Valley Apart").
It is inexcusable that you rewrote this story and deleted the CEO\'s statement, \"This city also has lots of the kinds of young, technologically savvy people the company likes to hire.” I agree with Pmancusi\'s comment above; the statement raises red flags indicating a discriminatory hiring practice. If anything, the Herald should follow up on the red flags not sanitizing the story.
