Fox 25 dumps top sportscaster

ShareIn another sign that local TV news is throwing in the towel in the media sports battle, FOX 25 has cut loose beloved veteran sports anchor Butch Stearns after a decade with the station, the Herald has learned.
FOX 25 confirmed yesterday that they have not renewed Stearns’ contract but wouldn’t comment on their reason for letting him go. Stearns - the station’s top sports anchor - isn’t being replaced.

Forgotten but not gone.
Please fox25, get rid of the insufferable Mary Stephanos (DB) next. Some say she's good looking but most of us don't see it; completely annoying is more like it. Butch can be annoying but at least he's funny.
Then there's the game-show host Frank Mallicoat ... uuuggghhh. Or Mr Rogers doing weather ... At fox25 they should give up on news altogether and leave it to the grown-ups.

Let's not forget Sara Underwood, the ultimate on-air air head, who can barely read a teleprompter without stumbling. Channel 4 had the good sense to can her, but then Channel 25 hired her. She was so bad on Channel 4 that Jack Williams would correct her on the air.

Sanchez is right on, Joe B ought to be the one to go. The way he ripped Mitt was pathetic, I must have missed his obama pieces.
He will now be the regular fill in guy for all the shows on WEEI just like Felger was before he went to 98.5. There's something about him that WEEI likes, he's ok. He drives me nuts when he asks questions in response to a question.
