Boston businessman and novice politician Steve Pagliuca is sharpening his message in the U.S. Senate race, shifting the focus of his ads from his life story to his consumer protection plans.
“We’re highlighting Steve’s aggressive plan to regulate and crack down on abuses on Wall Street,” Pagliuca spokesman Will Keyser said yesterday about the campaign’s new television spots, which will roll out across the state starting this weekend.

Being a good friend of Barney Frank does not look good on a resume these days does it Steve ? I dont think we need two people who are friends who must share similar values and goals. Mass. needs sharp contrast to Barney Frank and not a shadow dancer on the walls.
Quite honestly, I'm tired of all the Harvard educated lawyers and Ivy League hucksters who know nothing about real life. I'd like to see men and women of principal who do not have long term political ambitions and grinding their fat posteriors into the same seat for 40 or 50 years. Elections cost are so high that only the rich and powerful can afford to run for office. It's always seemed quite shady and immoral to me that people running for office being worth millions, already, suddenly have such a love and benevolence for serving the public, they would be eager to earn just $150,000 per year plus perks.
The salaries of all public officials should be $1000 per year and no retirement benefits. You're in for 4 or 5 years and you're out. Creating power over the long term as committee chairmen for individual senators and congress is what the present power and corruption is about. It's taken the government away from the people it's designed to serve and the government has become "Of the special interest, by the special interests and for the special interests". Legislation is passed favoring one group value over another with special legislation. That's democracy ?
People are angry and this anger will sooner or later, as jobs dwindle, homes are foreclosed and food becomes a luxury, have the same effect as it did in Eastern Europe in the 1980's. The people, having little left to lose, rise up and soon you have the hellfire of a revolution. My greatest fear and perhaps even hope for the rebirth of America, is headed in that direction. We cannot sustain the present course.

When will Pagliuca be telling us how much $ he made from the AMPAD deal? That's the deal that Pagliuca did where Bain bought the Indiana company, deconstructed it, fired the workers, hired them back at reduced wages, and cut their health care. Then they sold the company to another bunch of ruthless corporate raiders.
By the way, where is organized labor in this Senate fight? They picketed Romney's campaign daily because of his involvement in the AMPAD deal. In fact, Romney got hammered over it. So why don't I see organized labor --- AFL-CIO chief Bob Haynes, SEIU, etc --- picketing an lambasting Pagliuca? Has org labor cut a $ deal with Pagliuca?

Ultra-liberal clown. Do we need more like him in our race to the bottom? I think not. Can't we find a moderate somewhere?
This loony moonbat moron will say anything in his ads to get a vote. How transparent and pathetic.
How about his comment on the debate earlier in the week when he said "Unfortunately George Bush's tax policies helped people like me." A good moderator would have followed up with "Since you felt your Bush's tax policies let you keep too much of your money, how much extra did you voluntarily give back to the IRS?" He kind of reminds me of John Kerry.
I'm sick and tired of looking at him, he's everywhere spouting his "I'm a gun-owner hating, big government, tax and spend ultra liberal... Vote for ME"
Never again, the country's in recession because of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Bill Clinton's give everyone a house even if they can't pay for it mentality. This guys will jump up and join them in furthering our downfall. I'd vote for a fiscal conservative, but there aren't any that run for office, not in Massachusetts anywway.

All the new candidates came out trying to run to the left of Ted K. More rights for illegals, less rights for law abiding gun owners.
I hope Steve P feels better stroking that ego of his.

This guy is an even bigger moron than the other three. I know, who knew that could be possible. He hates George Bush because his tax policy allowed him to become a rich moron. Ok. He need not worry, which ever one of these 4 manages to get elected will help him turn it back over to the government. That is what Democrats do, make the rich poorer and the poor more dependent on government. He is not Robin Hood, he is Robin the Idiot.
