WASHINGTON — Chanting "Kill the bill," thousands of conservatives rallied at the Capitol today against the Democrats’ health care overhaul plan, labeling it a government takeover of the nation’s medical system.

"This bill is the greatest threat to freedom that I have seen," House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio told the crowd gathered on the lawn near the West Front of the Capitol.

The people have spoken on this issue already, all summer long, yet Congress didn't hear us.

We don't want the government running healthcare, for a multitude of reasons (high costs to the taxpayer, government inefficiencies and rationing to name but a few), and the tone-deaf legislators in Congress will respond only when reminded by those of us who will also use the ballot box to voice our displeasure.

The people that took the time to protest today are saints. The government is about to ruin your healthcare and cost you thousands of dollars while they do it. Nancy Pelosi and her insanity must be stopped. Our country is in grave danger. Please study this and realize the government will worsen our healthcare and make us apy for the priviledge of doing so.

Oh no! Insurance for all! We have to do something to stop this. How dare we impose such a marxist idea of making insurance companies insure people? Why oh why Mr. President? What about the children?

Wait a minute, I thought we said only liberals protest on a weekday? Could that statement possibly be wrong?

You're not insinuating that conservatives were against protesters before they were for them, are you? Don't you know only liberals are hypocrites??
