Dear Dr. John,
My 12-year-old cat was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid gland. She basically was eating all the time and had a nonstop appetite, but despite that she was losing weight. My veterinarian has started her on daily pills of a drug called Tapazole but I was wondering if there was anything else I could do for her since giving her pills can be somewhat of a pain? - S.W.
