Hey, so you’re not always near a TV. That’s a bummer, but you’ve got to deal with it. Maybe you’re headed to summer camp, or on the train to work, or stuck in a car buried by snow during the worst nor’easter on record. Maybe you’re on a plane that flies 150 miles past the airport because the pilots are too busy responding to YouTube videos. Don’t worry, though; just because you’re without a TV doesn’t mean you can’t play games. A Nintendo DS, a Sony PSP and the right games canalways help you keep your eyes on the screen, and the real world at bay.

“Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story” isn’t just one of the top hand-held games of the year; it’s one of the best games, period. The latest in a series of role-playing games set in the Super Mario Brothers universe, “Bowser’s Inside Story” ups the ante by making Bowser a playable character. You pop back and forth between Bowser and the Mario Brothers, each on a different DS screen, solving puzzles in one screen’s area to open territory on the other.
