Breakfast isn’t just for breakfast any more at the Friendly Toast in Kendall Square. At this new diner/malt shop, with its Emerald City green walls hung with a museum’s worth of kitschy, thrift-shop doodads and retro advertising memorabilia, breakfast is also lunch and dinner, appetizer, entree and/or dessert. Served up in enormous portions.

The formula proved gangbustas at the original TFT in Portsmouth, N.H., hence this recently opened Cambridge location.

This place stinks! It's dirty, the food isn't very good and the portion sizes are so large, it's offensive. All that wasted food just goes right in the trash. Sad.

I couldn't agree with you more. I went to the Portsmouth restaurant a few years ago when I moved to the area. The food was over-priced for the portion size and jsut average quality.
