Don’t dare style your Halloween hair without a full can of hairspray.

Popular styles for this ghoulish holiday include Lady Gaga, Megan Fox (a la “Transformers”) and beloved secretary Jane from “Mad Men,” but they each require a single aerosol can.

Stylists at Salon Capri in Newton will take on-the-spot appointments Saturday for partygoers in need of replicating Kate Gosselin’s and Adam Lambert’s locks. But owner Nicholas Penna offered these three hairstyles - and tips for easy results at home:

“Mad Men” secretary:

During a full blow-out, curl the ends with a round brush. Tease the top of the head near the part, then, most importantly, use a curling iron on the ends to define curls (hot rollers also work).

“It’s all about practice,” Penna said.

Megan Fox:

Dressing up as a sex symbol requires lots of attitude - and hair! Penna recommends setting long locks with a good number of Velcro rollers. Flip the head down and spray a generous amount of hairspray. “If you have wavy hair, you’re good to go,” Penna said.

Lady Gaga:

Flat iron hair. Attach an oversized hair bow (purchased at a beauty supply store) a little off-center of the crown with a serious supply of bobby pins. “All you need is 10 minutes and a sequin jumpsuit and you can turn from a suburban housewife into a fashionista,” Penna said.
