Plan would preserve Truro’s Edward Hopper property

TRURO — After years of controversy over the construction of a 6,500-square-foot house next door, a plan is afoot to protect the South Truro summer house and land that once belonged to American artist Edward Hopper, reports the Cape Cod Times.

The New Jersey family that owns the former Hopper house at 30-31 Stephens Way announced yesterday their plans to permanently preserve the house and its 7.6 acres of land through state-approved deed restrictions.
