WARWICK, R.I. — A witness says the late brother of the actor James Woods was not seen by a doctor until an hour after he came to the Kent Hospital emergency room complaining of a sore throat.

Lisa Konopka, the fiancee of Michael Woods, testified Friday in Kent County Superior Court in a wrongful death lawsuit that accuses Kent Hospital of providing negligent care three years ago. The suit was brought by James Woods, the Oscar-nominated actor and the administrator of his younger brother’s estate.
