Six neediest hospitals to sue state

Want reimbursements for serving the poor

At least six Massachusetts hospitals say they plan to sue the state to get more money for the care they are required to provide to its neediest residents.

Without additional state aid, top health care executives warned yesterday, these hospitals could be forced to shut their doors, a move that would trigger severe economic and social repercussions.
